A warm welcome is extended to visitors
Bjorn Palenius and I are seen in the living room of his mom’s home just a few moments ago. We are now in the public reposting this to the Internet.
I HAVE landed in Sweden. What a totally magnificent and beautiful country this is. Everyone is so friendly … they all have those Nordic good looks.
Just makes the mouth water!
I spent the first night at the Jumbo Stay! It is an old Boeing 747 converted into the most amazing accommodation. It is parked at the end of the runway ARN.
There will be an entirely separate item about Jumbo Stay, including video coming to this blog sometime in the future.
This morning I took the train then a bus Northeast for about three hours.
Bjorn Palenius and I are sitting in the public library “downtown” Falun, Sweden. It has a superfast free Wi-Fi connection. We have just had lunch at his moms house, which is about a seven minute walk from here. It is a town of 30,000 people, so peaceful and quiet it feels like a different planet from Los Angeles. For me, it’s exactly what the doctor ordered.
Above, is a picture Bjorn’s mom, Margareta, just took of us in her living room. We are having a blast. Normally I would say “wish you were here” but actually I don’t give a hoot.
Despite my best intentions I am video blogging this in entire journey of incredible discovery.
Some of it will be posted quickly, the rest of it –especially the video – will take more time.
