Supreme Court

decision on DOMA

THE PRESIDENT SAID: I applaud the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act.  This was discrimination enshrined in law.
It treated loving, committed gay and lesbian couples as a separate and lesser class of people.  The Supreme Court has righted that wrong, and our country is better off for it.
We are a people who declared that we are all created equal – and the love we commit to one another must be equal as well.

SPY VS SPY: Snowden saga shows limits of US power

SEARCH FOR WHISTLEBLOWER A WASTE OF TAPXPAYER MONEY
Surely there are other things the president should be focusing on than the dramatic disappearance and supposed transcontinental journey of fugitive Edward Snowden, charged with espionage by the Obama Administrtation.
The media circus that accompanied Snowden’s supposed global travels made for riveting drama, and lead the news cycle on Monday.
The fruitless battle to keep government secrets secret may provide dramatic television but it is a waste of taxpayers money – and won’t be worth a dime anyway.
