PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA, visiting the Los Angeles area for a taping of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, was greeted by a minuscule group of almost silent protesters as he arrived – late – at the Burbank Studios on Tuesday just before 4 p.m.
“Pick a scandal, any scandal,” said Doug May, visiting from New York and holding an “Impeach Obama” sign in front of the main entrance to the lot an hour before the president was due.
“For Benghazi,” said Doug Perkins, of Woodland Hills, Calif., one of a group of three protesters gathered on the lush green lawn.
The crowd of ticketholders grew steadily from about 2 p.m.
